Hucknall Market Sesquicentennial Event.
We are pleased to invite you to participate in a special event market at Hucknall, Nottinghamshire on Saturday, 26th April 2025, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the inauguration of Hucknall Market. The event will take place between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, and will include music, period attractions, activities and local historical information.
The event will operate alongside our regular High Street, Saturday market.
Please note: Stalls on High Street will trade from 9.00am until 3.00pm.
If you prefer to trade for the longer period, please request to be positioned on High Street.
This event is a great opportunity for crafters, community groups, local businesses, and suppliers to showcase their products and services to the Hucknall community and raise awareness of Hucknall Market and the town centre.
We hope you’ll support this event by joining us on Saturday 26th April 2025 in celebrating the success and development of markets in Hucknall town centre.
It is recorded that the first market in Hucknall was on Friday 23rd April 1875 on the site that is now Market car park, next to St. Mary’s Church.
Stall and Pitch Options:
Ashfield Council will be providing a variety of stalls and pitches for this event. You are welcome to bring your own pop-up stalls, merchandising vehicles, catering trailers, and display equipment. Stall pitches will be allocated in 3m x 3m spaces. Please indicate on the application form if you require a council provided stall or a free-standing pitch and specify the dimensions of the space you need (e.g., 3m x 3m, 3m x 6m, etc.).

Pitches for own pop-up stalls/vehicles/attractions :

We will provide the space only (approximately 3mtr X 3mtr) you will need to bring your own Stall, Gazebo, or Display Stands.

You will need to bring your own Vehicle, Trailer or Gazebo.

Stall fee waivers will be available for registered charities and community groups offering informational or advisory services only.Stall fees will apply to all stalls engaged in fundraising, sales, raffles, etc.
How to Apply:
To register your interest and reserve your space, please complete and return an application form as soon as possible. The application form also provides the opportunity to apply to become a regular trader at our weekly markets in Hucknall, Sutton-in-Ashfield, and Kirkby-in-Ashfield (space permitting).
